These chicks are straight run which means a random mix of boys and girls as hatched.

We will certainly try to pick females for you unless you ask otherwise. Although we can make a best guess at gender, with straight run chicks/chickens ,there is no guarantee on gender.

But of course, for any chicks purchased at SeaBreeze, we offer free rooster returns for any roosters that need help finding a new home. It is  disappointing to end up with a rooster or roosters when you need girls, but you can rest assured as you will always have a safe place at SeaBreeze Hens to bring your rooster for rehoming if needed.

However, straight runs that turn out to be roosters do no qualify for store credit refunds.  

Inventory numbers are based on the number of chicks that have "pullet potential". If you place an order and all remaining chicks appear to be "cockerel like", I will notify you so we can discuss alternatives.

Orders must be picked up within 10 days of placing your order. 

Pre-order new hatch chicks must be picked up within 10 days of availability.

Orders for Houston Area Delivery will go out on the next scheduled delivery date to the drop off location of your choice.

Chickens are live animals.  SeaBreeze Hens strives to fulfill orders exactly as ordered.  Sometimes things can go wrong.  If it does, we will work with you to find a suitable replacement, reschedule, or provide a refund for your order.

We ship every Tuesday. Your order will normally ship on the first Tuesday after your order date. 

If you order New Hatch chicks your chicks will not ship until the week they turn 2 weeks old.

 If you choose to ship your chicks via USPS PRIORITY EXPRESS, your shipment will be 100% guaranteed with refund or replacement (at your preference) for any loss of poultry.

If you choose to ship your chicks via USPS PRIORITY (instead of PRIORITY EXPRESS), SeaBreeze Hens is not responsible for losses due to late delivery or mishandling. Shipping birds via this delivery method is a risk assumed by the buyer.

Chickens that are 2 months and younger can not ship alone. Shipping minimum of 2 chicks for ages 1 month to 2 month. Minimum of 3 chicks for ages less than 1 month.

Chickenss must be similar ages to ship together.  Additional shipping charges may be incurred if chickens ordered are different ages.

All chicks are vaccinated with 48 hours of hatching for Marek's Disease

All chicks are vaccinated for coccidiosis at 4 to 7 days of age.

All chicks are vaccinated for Fowl Pox with Pigeon Pox and Avian Encephalomyelitis at 6 weeks of age. If you purchase your chicks before they turn 6 weeks of age, you can bring them back during one of our scheduled free vaccination days or schedule an appointment at another time ($25 fee for appointment).
